On Saturday June 21 we took a drive to Morrison, CO. It's a little town in the foothills of Denver near Red Rocks outdoor concert arena. We had lunch, took a walk along the creek, and enjoyed an ice cream treat. Hudson was showing his best smile and teeth. I love the photos of him eating his ice cream cone. He loves ice cream.

Blue Hair, Oh My!!!!
Hudson's cousin Krystal came over last week and she happens to have blue hair. Hudson kept saying I want blue hair too. So we happened to have to blue fingerpaint and the result was Hudson had blue hair like his cousin Krystal.
Hudson's Actual Birthday
Sunday June 15th was Hudson's actual birthday. Hudson got to spend the morning and afternoon with his dad. It was father's day so I thought that was only right. Really though my mom and I went to get manicures and pedicures. It was her mother's day present late. We went and had dinner at the Sushi Den. Pete got to pick for Father's Day, but Hudson enjoyed his sushi birthday dinner. The kid likes sushi, go figure.
I can read already. I'm a genius.

Hudson's 2nd Birthday Party
We had Hudson's 2nd Birthday on Saturday June 14th. We had a safari/jungle animal themed party. There were probably about 25 people there. About 5 of Hudson's friends came to help him celebrate. We had BBQ beef sandwiches, potato chips, watermelon, 2 different pasta salads and of course cake. We played a game of find the safari animals which I think the kids enjoyed. We hid various stuffed animals around the clubhouse. We had taken pictures of the animals earlier and showed the kids the picture to find the animal. They had fun. My mom was able to fly in to help celebrate with us. Hudson sure does love his Grandma. I think she might like him a little too. The cake was pretty cool. We ordered the cake from the same bakery that made our wedding cake almost 5 years ago. One layer was marble cake with chocolate Bavarian filling and the other was yellow cake with lemon Bavarian. We also had cupcakes for the little kids. Hudson got lots of cool toys and cute clothes for his birthday. I think his favorite is the train set his Uncle Dave picked out for him. He usually takes a train to bed with him now. We don't have any pictures of him opening presents, because Pete was video tapping with his sister's camera. Hopefully we can post the video soon.

2 Years Ago Around this time.....
This is what I looked like. I remember it being so hot. I left work early on my due date because the a/c was out and it was 112 degrees. I went into labor that night. I can't believe that our little boy is going to be 2 this weekend. It's crazy.

Burito
Here is our little burito. We had fun rolling him up in my yoga mat. I joined in on the fun too. Don't I look lovely, I forgot to do my hair that day. :)
