A-Bar-A Ranch

From our trip to Aspen we drove over the A-Bar-A Ranch near Saratoga, WY to spen the 4th with Uncle Jerry, Aunt Robin and Meme(aka Great Grandma to Hudson). The ranch is one of the prettiest places I have ever been. If I wasn't such a city girl I might want to live there. On the 4th they had a big BBQ, music, and a firework show. Hudson didn't make it up for the fireworks, maybe next year. I had a nice long hilly run while there. We got to go on a horseback ride and another BBQ up on a beautiful mountain. There were over a 100 pictures, so I just picked a few to share. We had a great time and as always Jerry and Robin were great.

Hudson got to go on his own horseback ride with his favorite Uncle Jerry and favorite horse Cosby. Uncle Jerry walked him around a bit, but on the way back Hudson had had enought and Uncle Jerry had to carry him. What a guy!!!
Pete and I got to go on a horseback ride with Aunt Robin on Saturday. We had allot of fun and saw some pretty WY country. I had ran 16 miles about an hour prior to our ride so my legs were quite wobbly when I got done. Despite that, arent't these are two of the best looking cowgirls you ever saw. Well just Robin, she is the real cowgirl. :) Thanks again Aunt Robin. Thanks to Uncle Jerry and Meme for babysitting Hudson while we got to enjoy our ride.
On our last night at the A-Bar-A we went up to a cookout on the top of a mountain. It was beautiful up there and good food. We got to ride up on old fire truck too. Hudson loved it.

Aspen

We went to Aspen for a couple days with Pete while he had to do some work. We had a good time. We had never been there. It's like the Beverly Hills of the mountains. It's a shopper's paradise, which I loved. I refrained myself though. Hudson and I went up to the famous Maroon Bells one day. It was gorgeous. Hudson loved walking on the trail. We even ventured up the mountain on a little trail. You'll see a picture of The St. Regis Hotel, that's where I wanted to stay, but the rooms were like a $1000 a night. Pete said that wasn't in the budget. Oh well, maybe when we win the lottery. The last day there we rented some bikes and tooled around Aspen. It was a blast. Pete had to haul Hudson around in a bike trailer. Let's just say Pete got in a good work-out on some of the hills. Also, Pete took Hudson up on the Aspen Mountain gondola. You'll see lots of pictures of Hudson. Pete said what was I suppose to do for the 15minute ride down the mountain. There are some cute pictures. Hudson's such a cutie. On our way out of Aspen we drove past the falls you see and had to stop they were so beautiful. Luckily another car came along to take our picture. It was so cold right down by the water. You can see in a couple pictures Hudson sleeping in the car. That is what Aspen did to Hudson, pooped him out. Sorry there are so many photos. I didn't know which ones to pick and making the montage is so much easier than posting individual pictures.

Belleview Park...Petting Zoo and Train Ride

A few Saturday's ago we went to Belleview Park with our good friends the Waltons.. They have a petting zoo, train ride, and creek to play in. We brought a picnic lunch, rode the train a few times, Hudson loves the train, and played in the water. It was a good day.

I love petting all the nice animals, cows, sheep, pigs, goats, chickens. What fun.
