Happy Birthday!

I recently celebrated my birthday and no I'm not telling you how old I am. It was pretty special to me, because Hudson made me an awesome frame and card at his school.

My wonderful in-laws here in CO and CA got me some delicious cupcakes for my birthday. These are from a bakery called http://www.happycakesdenver.com/. If anyone needs some awesome cupcakes this is the place to go. My favorite was the carrot cake one, as you can see from this picture I already ate it.

Red Rocks

A couple weeks ago we went to Red Rocks. This is a beautiful outdoor concert arena. It has awesome view of Denver. We went there for me to run the stairs. Hudson and Pete just played. It was a gorgeous day and we had a great time. Just a side note. I ran the stair on Saturday and had a 10 mile race on Sunday. I could barley walk, let alone run. I did finish the race though.

Gingerbread House

Pete and Hudson has some bonding time building a gingerbread house. I think Hudson ate more of the candy then he put on the house.

North Pole

We went to the North Pole after our Christmas Tree hunting trip. I bet you didn't know the North Pole was in Colorado. It's a little amusement park with a North Pole theme. We had a fun.

Here is the actual North Pole. It's a pole of ice in the middle of the amusement park that stays ice all year long.

They had a little roller coaster that Hudson and I rode. I laughed the whole time. I don't know how much Hudson liked it though.

Christmas Tree Hunting

We went and cut down our own Christmas Tree this year. It was allot of fun. We went to Woodland Park, CO, which is outside Colorado Springs. The best part, it only cost $10 for the tree. I think we are going to make this a family tradition. Hudson got to ride in the sled, except for the times he wanted to be carried. :) It wasn't super cold that day so that was nice.

Painting

Before my parents came for the holidays we decided to paint. We painted the living room, dining room, kitchen, hallway and master bath. It really needed painting. We think it looks pretty good, however when my parents got here they didn't even notice all our hard work. :)
