Monday in Mexico....

On Monday we loaded up the rental van to head to Chichen Itza. I was about a 3 hour drive from our hotel. On the way there we went through the town of Valladolid. So, of course we had to stop and take some pictures. We had a little snack at an outdoor cafe, walked through a beautiful church, walked around the town. Chichen Itza was very cool and amazing. However, it was really hot and humid so Hudson and I didn't make much of the tour. We ate ice cream and hung out in the air conditioned van. It was a good, but long day.
Loading up the van.
What does that say? A town named after us.
They even had a welcome sign for us. We felt like royalty.

Mom and Dad in front of the steps at Chichen Itza. Don't they look cute.
Noel and Meagan
Pete, me and Hudson. I was ready to climb the stairs, but they don't let you anymore. They were pretty steep.
I was melting.
Isn't he cute.
Bye Chichen Itza!

Oops forgot the beach photos.....

Here are a few shots from the beach.
Crazy kid was still mesmerized by cartoons even though they were in Spanish.

Sunday in Mexico

Our first full day in Mexico was spent at the kiddy pool and beach. I got up early that morning to get in my run of 16 miles. It was a pretty location, but going around a 2 mile loop 8 times got a bit old after the third time. :) I finished though. After breakfast at the buffet we hit the kiddy pool. It was a great pool with spraying water and many slides. The water was a bit cold, but after a while you got use to it. We also went the ocean/beach. The water was warmer than the pool and Hudson loved the sand. We had lunch and dinner at the buffet. We went to bed fairly early. Party animals we are.
